Valence - Clay table

Of Berber tradition, the creations in dry clay are originally used as crockery in everyday life. Drawn from the mountain in the form of pebbles, crushed into powder then sifted several times, this preparation allows, thanks to a traditional mixture based on water, to obtain a paste which will be left thereafter to be worked in colombin on a manual lathe. Mounted, then smoothed, the desired shape then passes to the stage of the first drying, indeed, once dry, it will be again reworked with clay water to smooth it before a last drying to allow a cooking in sheep dung. The smoke, and its gradation, more or less strong, is obtained thanks to the smoke due to the addition of wet grass at the end of cooking.
